Edit: Ah damn, this website doesn't allow line breaks in comments? Weird. Original post: Just rephrasing this in (my idea of) (somewhat) intuitive language just for comprehension purposes. Trying to focus on the "why" so that I understand better how to develop/adjust strategies: Step 1: Use one villager to build your Ovoo and start on sheep. Use your other 5 villagers to rush the wood for a stable (which takes 3 wood trips). Your first five new villagers should go sheep. Step 2: After the three wood trips, build the rushed Stable by the Ovoo with 1 wood villager (who then goes gold to start collecting for the Age Up) and send 3 wood villagers to food, leaving one on wood (for small Horsemen wood cost). Send one new villager to gold (for Age Up) and then bank 100 food and make a 2x Horsemen (and harass with them and your scout?). Then three more new villagers to food to reach the Age Up. Step 3: Pull 3 from food to build Landmark, and pull 2 more from food for wood (for Archery Range and archers), send the next 5 new villagers to wood. Make another 2x Horsemen and add them to your harassment. Step 4: With landmark complete, build an Archery Range, send 2 of the builders back to food (I guess) and one to wood. Make three 2x Archers (6 Archers). Use them to deal with Spearmen that the opponent will probably have made to fend off your Horsemen. Keep pressure on enemy economy? Step 5: Ditch wood except for 2 villagers (because you have enough archers to handle spearmen for now?) and focus food heavily and gold moderately (e.g. 15 food, 8 gold) so you can reach the next Age Up (while your 4 Horsemen and 6 Archers trouble the enemy). Build the Landmark with all your gold villagers (who then go back to gold, or not?), and switch a little from food to wood (you only focused food that heavily to get the age up, but now you need wood for buildings and, idk, rams probably). I'm pretty new to AOE4 so I'm missing some things that are probably implied/obvious, as far as next steps. They do say "take relics and so on", so using the map control advantage to take relics is a given, but I don't know if much is implied about when to put people back on gold for blacksmith techs (including Siege Engineering for rams to push the enemy TC?). Also of course taking relics requires gold for a Shaman or two, so although this BO ends with "0" on Gold, I guess they just didn't mention what to do with the 8 gold villagers after building the Landmark; presumably back to gold.
