Description
I have been using this opening since launch and even now in Season 7, it is still a viable option, a much more versatile one than the cursed Trush imo. It has never failed me. :)
Build Order
Time (MM:SS) | Description | Food | Wood | Gold | Stone |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
0 | Send 5 villagers to wood, 1 vil builds Oovoo, build TC | 0 | 5 | 0 | 1 |
01:00 | When you have 150 wood, send villagers to food, until you have 9. Keep 1 on wood. | 6 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
01:20 | Build a Stable with 1 villager | 7 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
1:50 | Send 2 villagers on gold. Make sure you scout your opponents gold. | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
2:20 | Create two horsemen | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
2:45 | Keep sending villagers on food until you have enough to age up | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
3:15 | Attack your opponents gold | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
4:00 | Age-Up with 5 vils. After aging up, it would be useful to send a scout to the enemy base, to gather intel. | 9 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
Notes
This build order is not effective against the following civilizations: 1. English - the base is too well defended, they will not keep villagers on gold 2. Abbasid, Ayyubid - military wing counters horsemen 3. Rus - uses no gold, has a tight base. 4. HRE - Emergency Repairs won't give bounty BUT 1. English - they might send longbowmen and you can intercept them 2. Two archers or mangudai can kill the spearmen easily, forcing him to produce more military 3. Goes for stone, Horsemen can harass the miners 4. Attacking the mining camp will force him off gold.
